Meet Bob
After 26 years and 16 different jobs working for The Walt Disney company, and another 20 leading my own creative experience design firm called IDEAS, I was ready for my next adventure. I call it Zennovation.
I’ve done a lot of speaking for corporate, association, and education groups; and the stories I like to tell best are about how all human beings constantly innovate, how we all tell our stories to create culture, and how 21st century brands work.
The connection between the wisdom of Zen inspired mindfulness and a lifetime of creative play is exciting and I hope we can share a few tales.

Bob’s show biz career really takes off with his role as a dancing Christmas Tree in Disneyland’s Fantasy On Parade. Pro Tip–always follow your Reindeer!
- 1972
After a Kerouackian solo cross-country journey to Boulder in Gandalf-a 1969 VW Camper–a new University of Colorado Buffalo is born.
- 1976
The university issues a Plea Bargain…err, I mean a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a 22 year-old music and media freak is set loose in The Happiest Place On Earth.
- 1981
It was hands on and hands dirty getting a few pieces of EPCOT ready for guests. The formula for Pixie dust is revealed-mostly sweat, tears and coffee. Sleep is not an option!
- 1988
The Disney-MGM Studios backlot opens for production with a multi episode run of Superboy!
- 2001
IDEAS, a company founded on the premise that a bunch of passionate storytellers who loved to work hard and loved each other launched, 2 months before the tragedy of 911 shut down the world. We survived thanks to an engagement with the US Navy.
- 2024
Zennovation and the Zennovation Network take wing. The next chapter is being written…
